Tom Ford's Fall Ads Drop, Miranda Kerr Goes Topless for Vogue, and Gilt Sets Up Shop in Kentucky
Erin Heatherton is breaking up with her agency. The model (and former Leo DiCaprio flame) is leaving Marilyn for IMG. {WWD} If ever there were a high fashion comic book, it would probably look a lot like Tom Ford's F/W 2013 ads. {Style.com} Miranda Kerr is topless and wearing granny panties on the cover of Vogue Korea's July 2013 issue. So, it's actually one of her more-covered up shoots. {Fashion Gone Rogue}
Retail Stocks 101: Tips for Investing in Your Favorite Fashion and Beauty Brands
With Coty's IPO imminent, Michael Kors doing gangbusters on the stock market and Fifth & Pacific selling shares via Facebook, we've never been more compelled to personally invest in the fashion and beauty brands we love. But before you go nuts on an E-Trade, here's a little tutorial. I've consulted Hitha Prabakhar and Brian Sozzi—two analysts who know a lot about the stock market, but also a lot about fashion and retail—on how to invest in a smart way.

Finally! All the (Crazy) Details on Lady Gaga's New Fragrance
Lady Gaga, who has been teasing us with mysterious little soundbites (blood! semen!) about her perfume for over a year now, is finally releasing the damn thing, and this morning we have all the details about what is definitely a unique and innovative fragrance. While this crowded, yawn-inducing, cutesy-bottle world of celeb fragrances often makes our eyes glaze over, we're actually excited about this launch. From the fragrance to the bottle to the marketing blitz that's planned, Gaga has sort of outdone herself on this one. So here's everything you need to know, according to a long and meaty profile in WWD today:

See the Top 25 of Beauty Inc's List of the 100 Best Beauty Companies
Every year Beauty Inc ranks the world's top 100 beauty companies and this morning, the results came in for 2010. While it's not exactly a shocker who made the list (L'Oreal, Proctor & Gamble and Chanel all nabbed top spots) it is surprising to note how the overall list has changed since last year. Namely, that total sales have increased--25.1% to be exact--and that, in particular, small firms saw a large amount of growth, with the list's 100th-ranked company showing a 9.2% increase since 2009. The news is particularly heartening because, in case you haven't heard, retail isn't exactly having a good year. But not everyone was immune to the recent financial crisis: Of the 15 companies that saw a decline in sales, seven were from Japan, where consumer confidence has been in a continual downward spiral. See the list of the top 25 beauty companies after the jump.
David Beckham Smolders, Smizes In the Campaign For His New Scent
David Beckham looks so handsome in this just-released campaign image for his new fragrance, I almost want to buy it for myself. The soccer star and proud father is launching Homme by David Beckham, his third fragrance with Coty, which is apparently meant to have a more masculine image. Steve Mormoris, senior vice president of global marketing for Coty Beauty, told WWD, David Beckham Homme is a strategic launch for us and represents a key new orientation for the David Beckham fragrance brand — getting back to the male roots of the brand, enhancing David as an athlete and an aspirational man and building a new pillar to the David Beckham franchise. Although Homme sounds like it's all about the branding, here's a breakdown of the scent: top notes of citrus, ginger, pine and fiery pepper; a heart of cashmere wood, leather and rosemary, and a drydown of mahogany wood, patchouli and skin musk. The print campaign was shot by Alasdair Mclellen and a commercial is on its way! And since clearly all we care about is pictures of David Beckham, here are two behind-the-scenes shots via his Facebook. Enjoy!

Lady Gaga Gets A Fragrance, Finally
While everyone was out at parties last night, I was sitting on my couch scrolling through Twitter and watching the VMAs--appropriately, I suppose--when WWD tweeted this late-breaking news flash. Lady Gaga, in a deal that was completed last week, has finally signed a long-term licensing agreement with Coty to create fragrances under her name. The first one will launch in Spring 2012. Good gravy. What will this smell like? I actually hope it smells weird and funky. And the bottles better be spectacular. I often forget to wear a scent (and I have quite a collection), but I love how they look all lined up on the counter. What do you think the top notes will be? Hairspray? Rubber?
Are You Ready for this Jelly?
